I sometimes will eat at the counter looking out the window over the sink. We watched the George C Scott version. He was an amazing actor. I saw him live in NYC one evening. Except we watched the Alistair Sims version. Great story. "You might be an undigested bit of beef..." LOL I actually cooked Christmas dinner for the first time ever this year. In the past, we always went to someone's house. The last two years we spent at home, but we just did appetizers and stuff. This year for some reason I felt like making a nice dinner instead, so I made a roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy and carrots with chocolate cake for dessert. Very basic, but it was very satisfying.
