Do You Cook When the Man Isn’t Home For Dinner?

In the News

I haven’t done much cooking since Thanksgiving. I’d like to say I was “burned out” from the Thanksgiving cooking… but really, I hardly did any Thanksgiving cooking at all (just the pies and the turkey). I guess I’ve just been lazy. :D And busy.

Actually, the kids have had colds and don’t feel like eating fancy meals… and the husband has been working evenings lately. I find that I rarely cook dinner when he’s not here to eat it. Do you do that? I’m happy just to munch on edamame and mozzarella cheese, and the kids “scrounge” through the leftovers. I can’t say I just LOVE to cook (although I do love to eat!). I’d just as soon cuddle up with a good book (or watch a good movie from a rackmount lcd screen) and snack on cheese and veggies. Yum.

How do you do things? Do you cook if there isn’t anyone to cook for?

No way. It’s not worth the effort.
