New Favorite Recipe Website

Recipe Websites

I found this website purely by chance, doing a search for apple cobbler. Oh my word, how could I have missed this site before?! It’s Taste of Home. I’m sure you have heard of it– it’s a site based on the popular magazine. i used to get the magazine but stopped when the subscription cost increased. So imagine my joy at finding it online!!

I like Taste of Home recipes. They are simple. They use simple ingredients. I like that. I avoid recipes that call for esoteric ingredients such as “capons,” “mahlab,” or “Indian ocean shark knuckles.” OK, I made the last one up but I wouldn’t be surprised to see something like it on some of those other cooking sites.

Anyway, I’m pleased as punch. I think I found a new favorite site! Do you have a favorite site for recipes? Please share!

My Aunt had given me some of her old copies of Taste Of Home magazine. I have to say that they were awesome.

I did look up the subscription rate and agree that
the rate is a bit expensive for this economy.

I also didn’t know that they had a website.
    Thanks for the tip!!

One of my fave sites is http://allrecipes.com/
What I really like about it is that you can search
for recipes by certain ingredients. So, you can go through
your cupboards and type in what you have. A bunch of recipes will come up in your search. Neat huh?
